Scenic Lookouts

With Grey County being nestled amongst the Niagara Escarpment and along Georgian Bay, naturally there are many spectacular Panoramic Vistas to capture here.

Skinners Bluff Lookout
For a spectacular view of ruralscapes and Georgian Bay this is the spot to bring your camera. Located northeast of Wiarton, 455.3 hectares atop the Niagara Escarpment, accessible off Grey County Road 26 and township roads 23-24 and 20-21. Parking is available along the roadside.

Colpoy's Bay Lookout
For a breathtaking view over Georgian Bay, overlooking the Bruce County portion of the Niagara Escarpment follow Grey Road 1 from Owen Sound. The location is just east of Wiarton. Parking area provided. Closed in the winter season.
 

Big Bay Lookout
Located along the Bruce Trail and just off Big Bay Sideroad,  this lookout gives a spectular view over Georgian Bay and down Kemble Mountain.

Kemble Women's Institute Lookout
Located along Scenic Grey Road 1, this parkette is a must see.  The Parkette is a memorial to the members of the Kemble Women's Institute, past and present, and it celebrates the 110th anniversary of the organization and features a unique tea service carving of rock and concrete.

Centennial Tower
For a magnificent view of the City of Owen Sound and the harbour this is a must stop. Heading South towards Highway 6 & 10, exiting the City of Owen Sound on the right hand side of the Highway is a parking area and access point to Centennial Tower.

Bighead River Valley Lookout
This spectcular lookout, just west of Walters Fallson the 2nd Concession, has a view facing north over Georgian Bay over a valley below of farmers fields, marsh and rolling hills.

Irish Mountain Lookout
Picturesque Georgian Bay and the rolling countryside below filled with apple orchards is the view from atop Irish Mountain. This lookout can be reached by turning off Highway 26, heading north on County Road 112 before Meaford. There is a parking area and picnic pavillion onsite.

Epping Lookout
This lookout is best viewed in the fall season when all the leaves in the valley are vibrant reds & golds. Epping Lookout is situated in the heart of and overlooks the Beaver Valley which boasts fall splendor all of its own. This lookout can be accessed off Grey County Road 7, north of Kimberley.

Old Baldy Lookout
Upon reaching the brow of the Niagara Escarpment, which at this point rises 152 metres above the Beaver Valley, the view takes your breath away! This location can be accessed off Grey County Road 13 just outside Kimberley, east side of the road on Grey Highlands Road. Caution it is a steep drive.

Beaver Valley Lookout
On the south side of the Beaver Valley, this pull-in lookout has seasonal washrooms, picnic tables and a great view of the valley below.  It can be accessed off Grey Road 13 on the west side of the road.

Blue Mountain Lookout
Situated on the bendy road of Grey Road 119, this lookout gives a bird's eye view of the Village at Blue below and Georgian Bay.  On a clear day you can see as far as Wasaga Beach and Christian Island to the northeast.

Scenic Caves Lookout
Located in the Scenic Caves Nature Adventures property you must pay admission to Scenic Caves to access this lookout.  It located at the top of the Niagara Escarpment and offers amazing views of Blue Mountain, Collingwood and even Wasaga Beach onwards.

Feversham Gorge Lookout
The most southern of all out lookouts, Feverhsam Gorge lookout is located just south of Feversham on Grey Road 2 and is part of the Feversham Gorge Conservation Area.
