Grey County has some of the best snowshoeing conditions in Ontario. Combine generally heavy snowfall amounts with an abundance of forests and dramatic landscapes and you get a perfect recipe for a winter's day on the trails. Grey County has over 45 County Managed Forests, with over a dozen maintained for winter usage (Cross-Country Ski/ Snowshoe). Nordic Centre at Scenic Caves
With 22 kilometers of groomed beginner and intermediate cross country ski and snowshoe trails winding through a 200 year old forest rich with wildlife.  Facilities onsite include a rustic chalet to enjoy a woodstove,bowl of chili or hot apple cider après ski, change rooms,ski waxing facility, cross country ski and snowshoe equipment rentals.

NEW! Cobble Beach Golf Links 
Winter at Cobble Beach is magical and you can enjoy all the natural beauty of Georgian Bay while cross country skiing or snowshoeing on over a total of 10 km of groomed trails. If you're full of ambition but short of equipment, our Village Pro Shop will initially carry a selection of snowshoes for rent at $10 for 1/2 day and $15 for full day. And, don't forget skating on the green! All-in-all, a fabulous winter experience is yours at Cobble Beach.

Inglis Falls & Harrison Park
While many people have visited both the Inglis Falls Conservation Area and Harrison Park, fewer have taken the time to explore the 7.5 kilometre hiking and skiing trail that joins the two. You can begin your hike at either end, with ample parking available at both the park and the falls.  It is a great trail for beginners but be aware that it is not groomed. Adequate snow cover will be needed to hide the rocks and roots.

Saugeen Valley Conservation Area Headquarters
The Headquarters Conservation Area, just south of Hanover, has approximately 5km of established trail systems which include a variety of habitats, from upland hardwoods to coniferous bog.  The trails are fabulous at any time of the year, whether one is simply hiking in the spring or summer, or trekking on snowshoes in the winter.  Trail Map.

Allan Park Management Unit Trails
These 15kms of looped trails have been designed to cater to a wide range of nature lovers.  With over 162 hectares of rolling forested landscape and an impressive pond area, Allan Park's day-use area is open to the public year-round.  The trails are track-set in the winter.  Trail Map.
