Founded in 1979, the Durham Art Gallery is a non-profit, charitable arts organization operating out of its purpose-built facility in the municipality of West Grey. The Gallery's mission is to entertain, educate and delight its audience through exposure to the full range of contemporary art being practiced in Canada. The Gallery embraces a multidisciplinary view of culture, presenting works in the visual and media arts as well as literary and performance events.
