Fall fairs are ingrained in Grey County's history. Most still celebrate the season the way it has been done for well over a century in rural Ontario, with livestock and trained animal shows; bake-offs; fruit, vegetable, flower and preserve contests; parades; quilt and art shows; farm equipment displays; BBQ dinners and live entertainment.
Nestled among old birches and tall pines, overlooking a quiet cove and pristine water, the Fish 'n' Lodge captures spectacular sunrises and provides an evening view of the lights of Owen Sound. Hot tub, horse shoe and fire pit on-site. A small sand beach is on-site. A stone beach is within 50m. Docking for boats. Small boat and motor available for rent by the day. Fishing charters may be arranged, and run for 5 hours a.m. or p.m. operating seaonally from April until October.
The main natural feature of this site is the horseshoe shaped waterfall, named after the Newash Indian tribe who lived in this area at one time.
Nestled along the shores of Georgian Bay just north of Owen Sound sits Legacy Ridge Golf Club, one of Ontario's premier golf destinations.
Sarawak Family Park, across from Legacy Ridge Golf and Country Club, has a sheltered beach, small playground, washrooms and picnic facilities.
