Fall fairs are ingrained in Grey County's history. Most still celebrate the season the way it has been done for well over a century in rural Ontario, with livestock and trained animal shows; bake-offs; fruit, vegetable, flower and preserve contests; parades; quilt and art shows; farm equipment displays; BBQ dinners and live entertainment.
Summer is a great time for picnics in Memorial Park and a walk to the river beside the museum. Changing exhibits tell the tales of local history and our visitor welcome centre has trail guides, walking tour brochures and maps to explore the Heart of Grey! We're often at the Farmers Market on Saturdays to pick up local goods and host an information booth. Our speaker series continues throughout the summer on the fourth Wednesday of the month. Special events welcome visitors. Museum is a great place to start your local experience. For more on what's to explore in Grey Highlands see www.visitgreyhighlands.ca. Have a great day in the Heart of Grey!
