The impact of reviews for hotels and other related travel services and experiences is nothing new.  What is new?  The increased use of mobile devices, specifically devices with access to High speed WIFI, powered by technology that has us clicking from a netflix movie, over to Google maps, to click-to-call the hotel we just read a review for on Tripadvisor -- all in less than 30 seconds.

Grey County Tourism undertook a Visitor Survey during the 2009 and 2010 summer season, with help from many of our local chambers and information centres. A summary report is available for review.

Cycle Simcoe

Cycle Simcoe, Simcoe County, has developed an interactive map to highlight all of the feature cycling routes throughout their region.  Also featured are all the amenities, difficulty ratings, surface information along with all of their segmented routes.

Ontario By Bike

The Ontario by Bike network is a program certifying and promoting bicycle friendly businesses and cycle tourism in a growing number of regions across Ontario.  The network is open to food services, the accomodation sector, attractions, cycle related businesses and organizations interested in cycle tourism.  Learn more about OBB and join the network.

Ride with GPS

Grey County has mapped all of our onroad and offroad cycling routes with Ride by GPS, making them available for sharing to your mobile devices.  

Strava

Find the most popular cycle routes in Grey County by using strava maps, which highlights frequently used routing based on heat, or usage.  Check out which roads are frequented the most throughout the region. (you will need to create an account to use)

The Business Enterprise Centre - Owen Sound and Area opened its doors in 2000 to meet the needs of entrepreneurs and small business owners. BEC provides a complete Business Resource Centre experience where Entrepreneurs can find assistance, expertise and information for the purpose of starting, growing or expanding a small business.

Provides loans and equity investment, small business counselling, and community economic development for Bruce and Grey Counties.

Visit South Georgian Bay
