Markdale Recreation’s 3rd Annual Family Day activities take place from 9 a.m. til 4 p.m. at the Markdale Complex in King Edward Park. Admission is by donation. Kick your day off with a pancake breakfast ($8 or $5 for children under 12), take a horse-drawn sleigh ride, play winter games and indoor games, groove dance, learn about pickleball and wrap up the day with a free family skate.

Head to Hanover’s P &H Centre and the Hanover Racetrack for a full lineup of Family Day fun. Violet and Dandelion artful activities, games, stories and dancing, balloon animals and indoor activities. Outside, there are horse drawn wagon rides, snow volleyball, an exhibition hockey game to watch, free skating, free swimming, carpet bowling, cards, the walking track is open.
