Agnes Campbell Macphail (born Grey County, March 24,1890) was the first woman to be elected to the House of Commons in 1921, the first federal election in which woman had the right to vote! In 1929 she was the first woman nominated to the Canadian delegation to the League of Nations. She founded the Elizabeth Fry Society of Canada and one of her major achievements led to reformation of the Canadian penal system.

Opening reception Saturday March 12 from 2 to 4pm.  The Marsh Street Painters is a not-for-profit group of artists from the Town of Blue Mountains, Meaford and Collingwood, who are united in their love of painting in the Georgian Bay area. This exhibit is an opportunity to share our work with members of the public and to offer for sale a wide variety of beautiful art, much of which depicts the lovely scenery which surrounds us.
