Every fall the artists of the Autumn Leaves Studio Tour invite the public into their homes and studios. In 2019 from Friday October 4 to Sunday October 6th, explore the diversity of our seasoned artists and the artworks of a number of first time studios. The range of mediums include; glass, watercolours, pottery and ceramics, acrylics and oils, fiber art, wood, and metal.

Meet some of the best artists in Grey, Bruce and Simcoe Counties at their studios and galleries during the Open Studio Weekend. They live and work amid some of the most scenic vistas Ontario has to offer. Recharge between stops at excellent restaurants, cafés and coffee shops listed in The Food Map. Pick your favourite artists and go! They are open from 10-5 each day.

Scarecrows' Book Invasion is the theme of the 2019 Meaford Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival. This year’s parade is Friday, October 4th, starting at 6 p.m. on Sykes Street followed by a family festival at the Rotary Harbour Pavilion …free activities for the whole family, apple pie contest awards and auction, entertainment, and more. Scarecrows start to invade Meaford in mid September and stay until mid October.

On Friday October 4 from 7-8:30 pm join the staff and advisory committee of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery as we celebrate the opening of our new fall exhibitions 'Footprints in Time: Painting Around Georgian Bay' guest curated by Katharine Lochnan and Louise Moore and 'Patrick DeCoste: 13 Moons and a Canoe' guest curated by Carla Garnet. The reception begins at 7 pm with opening remarks taking place at 7:15 pm.

Bootleg Creedence takes its audience on a rockin’ ride down the bayou. Their authentic sound leaves no stone unturned, keeping true to the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty. “Bootleg Creedence! They rocked a full house at the Hanover Civic Centre. The crowd gave them 2 standing ovations and could have stayed all night.” – Dreamrock Productions

Call to artists for two shows at Loft Gallery Inc. this fall.  The gallery is a member of the Apple Pie Trail and Thornbury Taste and we will be featuring a special show this fall called "This Is Apple Country".  This show will display art depicting the local apple country we live in.  Email submissions are accepted now until September 20th with a $25 fee (good for up to three submissions).
