There certainly is a lot of hype surrounding ‘mindfulness’ these days—and for good reason with the hustle and bustled of our quick-paced lives. Grey County provides an awe-inspiring array of rich colours, sounds, smells and textures throughout the four seasons to practice mindfulness. Any patch of nature that captures your senses will do, be it the sun’s rays dancing through rustling trees, a warm breeze enveloping you, or an orchestra of crickets in tangled wild flowers.
Jewellery is the medium at the Owen Sound Artists’ Co-op this February. 12 Studio Jewellers will be exhibiting their work in the Legacy Gallery. Local jewellers and a few imports will join former Owen Sound residents and premier makers Sandra Noble Goss and Andrew Goss in this celebration of hand made adornment. This is a rare opportunity to see so many skilled studio jewellers in one location. Meet the makers Friday, February 2nd from 7 to 9pm. Guest artist for February include paintings by Allison Arnold, David Robinson, and Will Krisza. The Owen Sound Artists’ Co-op is open 7 days a week and an artist is always on duty.
