The County has officially proclaimed twenty-twenty as the year to gather. To gather a basket full of local produce, meats, and spirits from a local farm store or market. To gather your friends and family around a big table (or kitchen island), to celebrate each other and the local bounty before you. To gather around a restaurant table and appreciate the love the chefs bring to your plate. It’s the year of you, and your connection to this place through the food you eat and the people you spend time with.
The Owen Sound Artists’ Co-op Legacy Gallery hosts a weird and wonderful exhibit of collaborative projects from four members of the Backroad Design Syndicate. Originally formed to recognize craft in Grey and Bruce with the beautiful book Backroad Craft, this enthusiastic group meet regularly to share their skills and ideas. COLLAB, features work intertwining 4 mediums; hot glass, wood, textiles and paper. The result is a charming collection off unconventional art! Meet the makers Sunday, September 9th from 2 to 4 pm. September welcomes four fresh guest artists: Leslie Lacombe fine jewellery, Jean MacDonald watercolours, abstract multi media by David Aspenleider and sculptural acrylic on canvas by Stella Coultas.
