The County has officially proclaimed twenty-twenty as the year to gather. To gather a basket full of local produce, meats, and spirits from a local farm store or market. To gather your friends and family around a big table (or kitchen island), to celebrate each other and the local bounty before you. To gather around a restaurant table and appreciate the love the chefs bring to your plate. It’s the year of you, and your connection to this place through the food you eat and the people you spend time with.
HANOVER, ON – October 1st is National Seniors Day! To celebrate, The Town of Hanover’s Age-Friendly Committee is hosting a free information sharing event featuring agencies and organizations who provide volunteer opportunities or valuable services for older adults living in our region.
The expo will include agency displays, quick talks by eight (8) local agencies and a keynote address titled, “Where you Belong- Connected Older Adults in Rural Communities” by Tanya Shute.
Hanover and area residents, community leaders and agency representatives are welcome to attend this FREE event.
