The general store was once the original big box retailer; only it came complete with gossip and a place to tie up your horse. In Grey County, the general store culture is still thriving today. They have reinvented themselves to be everything a modern retailer cannot be, which makes them so much fun, and delicious.
Join us for Kemble's 7th annual maple syrup tour and artisan market!
This year’s tour consists of seven syrup stops, allowing participants to experience a full range of syrup production techniques, from tiny back-yard operations to large-scale commercial setups. Lots of stops with farm animals and fun for the kids too!
Also included in the price of the tour is a stop at Kemble-Sarawak Church for an amazing maple-themed breakfast or lunch, made with love and local products. While stopping for your hot meal, you can shop the artisan market also hosted at the church.
For the second year, tour organizers will hold a contra dance and social in the evening, complete with live music from the award-winning “Scatter the Cats” band.
Tour passports are:
$15 an adult,
$10 a child (6-12)
or $40 a family (2 parents and their children).
Children 5 and under are free.
Passports can be purchased in advance at locations TBA soon,
or at the Kemble-Sarawak Church the day of the event.
The event runs from 8 am-4 pm (Artisan market and tour stop open at 9am, kitchen closes at 3pm)
Contra dance tickets ($10) will be sold at the door the evening of the dance.
