Midweek Music - Rob Elder at The Westside Boat Launch

Rob Elder is an independent singer-songwriter based in Ontario Canada who could be described as a “re-emerging” artist. In a previous life he was an award winning young musician who self-released two albums and performed his way onto many stages and into many hearts.

Currently, with over a decade of writing, traveling, maturity, performance and growth under his belt since his first incarnation, Rob is back on the map. His lyrics are compelling and witty, his style is a blues-infused mashup that can be taken with strong whiskey or green tea and playfully mixes blue-eyed soul, slick guitar, and crooning country rhythms that he serves up with a voice that surfs from solid depths to groovy falsetto highs. Rob can take you down a road of deep emotion then in an instant - lighten the mood and fill your heart.

His third and most recent album 'Changer' shows off how much Rob has grown and what he’s learned along the way. Where his first two albums ploughed popular themes of young love and heartbreak, Changer explores more mature themes of social unrest and inequality, solidarity, and the deep love that carries a relationship decades on. 

If there were an award for ‘Re-Emerging Artist of the Year’ if would have to go to Rob Elder.
