Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music
With seven shows to choose from, there is opportunity for theatre-goers to attend this large cast musical.
Opening night, complete with a Mix and Mingle social time in the community hall, hosted by the Hanover Lions Club prior to the show time of 7:00 p.m., is Friday, Nov. 29th. Other evening shows take place on Thurs. Dec. 5th and Fri. Dec. 6th at 7:00 p.m. Matinees at 2:00 p.m. will be scheduled for Nov. 30th, Dec. 1st, 7th and 8th of 2024.
The cast of almost 40, and a large production team help to mount this show which includes 22 talented area youth.

You don’t want to miss this tuneful, heart-warming story. The Sound of Music is based on the real life story of the Von Trapp Family singers, one of the world's best-known concert groups in the era immediately preceding World War II. Maria, the tomboyish postulant at an Austrian abbey, becomes a governess in the home of a widowed naval captain with seven children, and brings a new love of life and music into the home.
