The County has officially proclaimed twenty-twenty as the year to gather. To gather a basket full of local produce, meats, and spirits from a local farm store or market. To gather your friends and family around a big table (or kitchen island), to celebrate each other and the local bounty before you. To gather around a restaurant table and appreciate the love the chefs bring to your plate. It’s the year of you, and your connection to this place through the food you eat and the people you spend time with.
Public & visitors invited to take in Wardell Memorial Trail Walk Members of the Owen Sound based Outdoors Adventures club will be hosting an autumn walk for visitors and area resident on the Doug Wardell Memorial Walking Trail on Sunday, October 6th, 2019, starting at 1:00 p.m.
The Wardell Trail is located in Georgian Bluffs on the west side of Concession Road 3 (former Derby Twp), approx. 2 km. South of Stonewyck Estates (formerly Lincoln Park).
The trail is 2.4 km. in length and includes interpretive signs, bench seating, wildlife improvement projects and stream bridge crossings. The trail is located on lands under the ownership and management of the Escarpment Biosphere Conservancy.
Coffee and treats will be available for participating walkers. All are welcome.
