The County has officially proclaimed twenty-twenty as the year to gather. To gather a basket full of local produce, meats, and spirits from a local farm store or market. To gather your friends and family around a big table (or kitchen island), to celebrate each other and the local bounty before you. To gather around a restaurant table and appreciate the love the chefs bring to your plate. It’s the year of you, and your connection to this place through the food you eat and the people you spend time with.
A FREE event at the for seniors and/or caregiver in the area this is a great way to connect with many available resources including: caregiving; housing options and supports; safety; health and pharmaceutical information; meal related options; and others. There will be more than 40 exhibitors, presentations, healthy snacks, door prizes, live music, and more. So, mark your calendar for September 11 and plan to attend. Organized by the Seniors Network Blue Mountains. The network aims to provide information and raise issues of interest to seniors in the Blue Mountains area. Formed in 2014, the network includes representatives of the Town of the Blue Mountains (Community Services) the Blue Mountains Public Library, Beaver Valley Outreach, Errinrung Long Term Care Home & Retirement Community, and the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
