Fall fairs are ingrained in Grey County's history. Most still celebrate the season the way it has been done for well over a century in rural Ontario, with livestock and trained animal shows; bake-offs; fruit, vegetable, flower and preserve contests; parades; quilt and art shows; farm equipment displays; BBQ dinners and live entertainment.
When grit and groove meets softly swaying silk, the thrift-folk of Braden Phelan and Liv Cazzola comes to life. With an electric chemistry and quick-witted sense of humour, they’ve threaded their colours and textures together to create the terrifying two-headed kitten that is Tragedy Ann. Toronto-based singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist Shawna Caspi performs solo, but there's a whole band under her fingertips. A mighty singer, a story sculptor, and a truth teller, she has toured across Canada and the eastern USA and believes in poetry and the power of one person and one instrument. Cody Zevenbergen is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music instructor based in the Grey and Bruce County area. In October of 2016, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Guitar Performance from York University. His music incorporates a wide variety of influences, including rock, blues, country, and jazz.
