Owen Sound’s own Jon Jasper-Lawless (Swim Good / First Rate People) joins Winnipeg loop pedal artist Rayannah and bilingual folk duo Georgian Bay for the first date of their Southern Ontario tour. Sharing an affinity for soundscapes, all three acts come together on March 16th at Heartwood Concert Hall.  For his first performance in Owen Sound since the summer of 2015, Jon is set to collaborate with longtime friend Rayannah.

Queen's Bush Bluegrass Club is pleased to present Dale Ann Bradley together with Phil Ledbetter. Dale Ann is a five-time winner of the prestigious (IBMA) International Bluegrass Music Association’s Female Bluegrass Vocalist of the Year. She was born in southeastern Kentucky where her father was a coal-mining Baptist minister. She released her first solo album, East Kentucky Morning in 1997 and it immediately reached the Top Ten.

Back then, David’s father - banjoist Don Parmley and mandolinist Randy Graham teamed up with a then 15 year old David to form what was to become a very successful bluegrass trio.

Agnes Campbell Macphail (born Grey County, March 24,1890) was the first woman to be elected to the House of Commons in 1921, the first federal election in which woman had the right to vote! In 1929 she was the first woman nominated to the Canadian delegation to the League of Nations. She founded the Elizabeth Fry Society of Canada and one of her major achievements led to reformation of the Canadian penal system.
