We use ‘sayings’ every day.  They can express a complicated idea in a nutshell. This descriptive language encapsulates greater meaning, envisioning the message. Idioms may give us visual clues, but can be confusing if you don’t know what they mean. Come to the Durham Art Gallery and stock up on books and movies for your summertime enjoyment! Choose any genre from childrens' books, fiction, sci-fi, to travel, we have something for you! Proceeds from the book sale will go towards funding children's summer programs such as Art Fridays. Come and get your summer reads at the gallery, open weekdays from 10am to 5pm, and weekends 1 to 4pm.

The Owen Sound Noon Hour series was founded in 1993 by local musician Joachim Ostertag. It presents a series of classical, jazz, folk and blues concerts throughout summer at Georgian Shores United Church. All concerts are by donation. Concerts run from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
