Below is a short list of some of the larger scale Signature Events that take place annually throughout the County. Grey Highlands Ram Rodeo, Grey Highlands
May 27 – 28, 2023
It’s time to dust off your boots, put your cowboy hat on, and saddle up! The Ram Rodeo is back in Feversham, Grey Highlands for 2023. Weekend events include a kids' rodeo, barrel racing, bull riding, country & western dance, and more!
Blue Mountain Film Festival, Blue Mountain
June 1 - 4, 2023
The Blue Mountain Film Festival presents 20+ inspiring films over four days, including award-winning stories from around the globe and breakthrough Canadian films. Along with exceptional films and an industry creative forum, the festival goes beyond great cinema with events, parties, and outdoor activities. The entire 2023 program of films will be available here when tickets go on sale in May.
Maclean's Ales Boots & Brews 5.0, Hanover

Boots & Brews Country Music Festival is all about celebrating friends, craft beer, and great country music! Grab your dancing boots, and get ready for an amazing country lineup at Maclean’s Ales in Hanover.
Salsa at Blue, Blue Mountain
June 23 - 25, 2023
A favourite event at Blue Mountain is making a spicy comeback for 2023. Get ready to turn up the heat for Salsa at Blue! The whole family will love the energy that surrounds this celebration of Latin culture. The music, the colours, the dancing - it's caliente all day, every day.
The Sound Waterfront Festival, Owen Sound
June 30 - July 1, 2023
Don’t miss this two-day multicultural event taking place at Kelso Beach in Nawash Park. It will feature a combination of arts and culture, entertainment, music, Canada Day fireworks, food trucks, children’s activities, and more!
Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival, Owen Sound
August 18 - 20, 2023
Situated on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay at Kelso Beach Park in Owen Sound, the 48th Annual Summerfolk Festival offers music on two concert stages Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and several workshop stages during the day on Saturday. There are children’s activities, open mic, demonstrations, circus workshops, a vendor market and more.
AGORA: Path of Light, Blue Mountain
Late August – end of October 2023
AGORA is an unusual and magical space inspired by storytellers and cycles of life in nature. As participants walk this circular path, they will encounter a series of interactive lighting installations based on the five elements of air, space, earth, water and fire.
Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular, Owen Sound
August 25 - September 3, 2023
The 35th Annual Salmon Spectacular will feature a variety of activities in addition to the fishing derby, including the fish fry on both Saturdays, nightly entertainment, daily draws and more!. There will also be over $100,000 in prizes and tickets are already available online for purchase.
The Cobble Beach Concours D’Elegance, Georgian Bluffs
September 15 - 17, 2023
Beautiful and rarely seen automobiles will herald in a new tradition of distinction and elegance on the shores of Georgian Bay. On Friday the Participant Tour will take place throughout Grey County. On Saturday, Cars & Coffee will take place, while the Concours d'Lemons will fill the streets of downtown Owen Sound. On Sunday, the Concours d'Elegance will be held on the 18th fairway of Cobble Beach. This extraordinary bayside course will play host to a rich assortment of international automobiles and distinguished guests.
26th Annual Meaford Scarecrow Invasion, Meaford
September – end of October 2023
The scarecrows are invading, the scarecrows are invading! Starting early September until the end of October, Meaford will once again be invaded by scarecrows of all shapes and sizes; bringing back the community's fall tradition of 26 years! Enjoy a drive around Meaford to observe the creativity and excitement of businesses and residents as they decorate their properties with scarecrows and fall décor. More details to come!
Blue Mountain Apple Harvest Festival, Blue Mountain
October 6 - 9, 2023
A celebration of gratitude for the lands we live on, and that the farmers that feed us. Fabulous fall colours, crisp autumn air and even crisper apples. These are just some of the ingredients of the harvest weekend experience at Blue Mountain, in Ontario’s largest apple growing region. Apple Harvest Weekend features live music, family activities, fall colours hiking, cider tasting, AGORA: Path of Light and more!
Holiday Magic, Blue Mountain
November 17, 2023 – early January 2024
Holiday Magic at Blue is a traditional celebration of the holiday season with gorgeous décor all day, animation and entertainment on weekends and holidays and a one kilometer light trail throughout the Village every evening.
Festival of Northern Lights, Owen Sound
November 18, 2023 – early January 2024
The Festival of Northern Lights will shine brightly again in 2023. Enjoy the seasonal light displays from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. nightly from mid-November until early January. More than 400 displays and 25 km of lights illuminate the harbour, the Sydenham riverbanks, the downtown core, and Harrison Park. Don’t miss the opening ceremony featuring live music, fireworks and more!
