NOTICE: Updated April 17, 2025 - Grey County has reopened the majority of the CP Rail Trail with two sections remaining closed. The removal and clean up of downed trees and limbs from recent ice storms and high winds has been completed. Two sections remain closed between Division Street and Sunny Valley Road (in the Municipality of Meaford) AND Sideroad 60 to Sideroad 80 (in the Township of Chatsworth) due to significant washout/rutting damage. Grey County's CP Rail Trail is a multi-use trail that allows hiking, cycling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, equestrian use, as well as snowmobiles, ATV's and motorbikes, with a permit. This stone dusted trail is 77 km, stretching from Owen Sound to Dundalk.
ATVs are only permitted on a portion of the trail from May 1 - November 30. See www.dgatv.ca for more information and permits.
