There certainly is a lot of hype surrounding ‘mindfulness’ these days—and for good reason with the hustle and bustled of our quick-paced lives. Grey County provides an awe-inspiring array of rich colours, sounds, smells and textures throughout the four seasons to practice mindfulness. Any patch of nature that captures your senses will do, be it the sun’s rays dancing through rustling trees, a warm breeze enveloping you, or an orchestra of crickets in tangled wild flowers.
From old-fashioned general stores offering home-made treats to award-winning small businesses of all types, Grey County has lots of charming downtown shops where you can while away the hours finding just the right thing. Historically a centre for fine wood production, Grey County is still a great place to find one-of-a-kind furniture.
June is around the corner, which means locally grown and raised food is everywhere in Grey! Farmers’ markets are a great way for visitors to discover lots of fresh, local foods in one place and to meet the people who grow, raise and make it.
We have six wonderful markets you can visit in Grey.
Grey County is home to many talented artists and fall is the best time to tour the backroads while visiting their unique studios. Locally, there are five studio tours running from late August until Thanksgiving weekend.
