Join Maria of Mestizo Academy for hands-on cooking classes that explore the bold flavours and rich traditions of Mexican cuisine. Each small-group session includes cooking, tasting, and take-home recipes. Offered in English and Spanish.

Join us for a special workshop on Pan de Muerto — the soft, aromatic bread traditionally made to honor loved ones during Día de Muertos. We’ll prepare the dough from scratch, shape it with symbolic dough “bones,” and learn the meaning behind its design.

Because this bread needs time to rise, we’ll complete the main steps together in class and provide online instructions so you can finish baking at home — just in time for your altar or gathering.
