Marshall McLuhan: a conversation with Michael McLuhan

Please join us at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery on April 5 (First Wednesday) from 5pm – 7pm, for an intimate and compelling conversation between Michael McLuhan and Director and Chief Curator Aidan Ware, that will focus on well-known Canadian media theorist Marshall McLuhan (Michael’s father). McLuhan famously coined the expression "the medium is the message" and the term “global village.” He predicted the World Wide Web almost thirty years before it was invented and was a major influence within media discourse in the late 1960s. Michael will shine a light on growing up with his renowned father and the many elements that made his life so unique.
