2023 Fall Fair Season is Here!

It's time to celebrate local culture, fall harvest, and the changing of the seasons in Grey County.

Many communities still celebrate the same way it's been done for years in rural Ontario, with livestock shows, baking competitions, vegetable growing contests, parades, and farm equipment displays. Some fairs also offer midways, bike rodeos, demolition derbies, video dance parties, and more! 

Markdale Fall Fair - August 25th - 26th

The 165th Markdale Fall Fair has a jam-packed schedule of competitions, shows, and exhibits. You don't want to miss the 'Touch a Truck' event, the pet shows or the live music performances. Desboro Agricultural Fall Fair - September 1st - 2nd

The opening day parade is a local favourite and this year's theme is Plaid Shirts & Denim Skirts. They have all the classic fair exhibits and competitions, as well as live entertainment, a popular tractor pull and carnival tent. Durham Fall Fair - September 1st - 3rd

The Durham Fall Fair has been a staple event in the community for over 160 years. It kicks off Thursday night with community bingo and continues all weekend long with events and exhibits. The kids peddle tractor pull is Friday night, and Saturday features the 4-H shows, wagon rides, pet show, live entertainment and much more. Owen Sound Fall Fair - September 8th - 9th 

One of the larger fall fairs in our area features a weekend of entertainment and family fun. There will be food trucks, a vendor market and beer gardens all weekend long, in addition to 4-H shows, truck and tractor pulls, pie and ice cream eating contests and more. Beaver Valley Fall Fair - September 8th - 9th

Since 1870, the Beaver Valley Fair Fall has been celebrating agriculture and local pride. Taking place at the Beaver Valley Community Centre in Thornbury, it features classic competitions and shows as well as a Classic Championship Wrestling Show, wildlife exhibit, mechanical bull, and excavator challenges. Dundalk Fall Fair - September 8th - 10th

Also host to the Canadian Open Square Dancing, Step Dancing, Clogging Competition and Fiddle Contest - the Dundalk Fall Fair has a unique line up of events like no other. With a scavenger hunt, outdoor movies, Farmer Olympics and ATV barrel racing, there's entertainment for everyone in your crew. Feversham Fall Fair - September 15th - 16th 

Family Ties and Homemade Pies is the theme this year. For over 150 years, the community has celebrated its rural roots by hosting a fall fair. Kicking off with a Friday night concert and fair ambassador competition, it continues Saturday with exhibits, events, music and food. The truck and tractor pulls round out Sunday afternoon. Neustadt Fall Fair - September 15th - 16th 

The Neustadt Fall Fair features many traditional elements like arts and crafts exhibits, a fair ambassador competition, and a children's parade. 



Chatsworth Agricultural Society Fall Fair - September 16th

Come out to the Williamsford Community Centre for a full day of food, fun and festivities. Horse demonstrations, chainsaw carving, a kid's zone featuring bouncy castles and firemen's BBQ are sure to keep the whole family entertained. Rocklyn Fall Fair - September 23rd

Wednesday evening (September 20th) is the unofficial start of the fair with the opening concert, ambassador of the fair crowning, and talent show.
