Farmers' Markets Open for the 2024 Season

It's that time of year when farmers' markets sprout up across Grey County. While the Owen Sound Farmers' Market stays open year-round, many others start their season around Victoria Day weekend, coinciding with the first local harvests, and keep bustling until Thanksgiving weekend.

Farmers' markets are the perfect place to shop for fresh local produce, grab ready-made meals for a wholesome home-cooked feast, and connect with talented local artisans and craftspeople. Many markets even feature live music performances and demonstrations. You can find open hours and more details of each market below:

Durham Farmers' Market

Durham Farmers' Market

The Durham Farmers' Market takes place on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Riverside Park in Durham (beside the Credit Union parking lot) starting on July 19, 2024. Sponsored by the Durham BIA, you can find unique local products, locally grown produce, local art and more. Come out and support all things local. 

Flesherton and District Farmers' Market

Flesherton and District Farmers' Market

The Flesherton and District Farmers’ Market takes place at the Flesherton Arena every Saturday starting on May 18, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There are several vendors offering a wide variety of in-season vegetables, locally raised meat, baking, preserves and craft goods.

Keady Market

Keady Market

The Keady Market runs every Tuesday year round, from 7:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., but starting in early May and throughout the summer months, you can expect vendors selling a variety of produce, deli meats, home baking, crafts, antiques and an assortment of other goods. Consider checking out the three livestock auctions beginning at 9:00 a.m. 

Meaford Farmers' Market

Located at the Meaford Harbour, the market is open Fridays starting June 7, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Goods that you will find at the Meaford Farmers' Market include: fresh, seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs, premium meats, preserves, honey and maple syrup, baked goods, and beautiful arts and crafts.

Owen Sound Farmers' Market

Owen Sound Farmers' Market

Open from 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. every Saturday, year-round. Fresh flowers, local produce, fish, meat, baking, crafts, clothing, live music, and more!  The outdoor portion of the market is open during the spring, summer and fall. 

The Market Shoppe at Rocklands Market

The Market Shoppe at Rocklands Market

Taking place on Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for 6 weeks only! Between Canada Day weekend and Civic Holiday weekend, The Market Shoppe at Rocklands Market will focus on food, beverage, music, arts and wellness. Browse and support the talented local entrepreneurs and artisans that bring a wide array of goods and services to the market. Take a stroll around the property, have a little fun in the family game area or participate in a workshop.

Thornbury Farmers' Market

Thornbury Farmers' Market

Open Sundays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. starting on May 19, 2024. Located beside the Town Hall on Highway 26 just past the bridge in Thornbury, the market features over 25 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, artisan food to all natural beauty products, home decor, and one of kind art.

Hanover Eat Well Market

Hanover Eat Well Market

The Hanover Eat Well Market is back on Saturdays this summer starting on June 8th, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It takes place in Heritage Square on 10th Street in Hanover. Many new and returning vendors this season, come check it out!
