The Southern Grey County Fall Driving tour, steeped in history, takes you past historic mill dams, longstanding breweries and organic orchards as you tour the countryside to take in the fall colours.

Durham

One of 10 waterfalls on the Grey County Waterfall Tour, McGowan Falls offers a beautiful view, just a quick jaunt off Grey Road 4.  Walk across the falls on the bridge to the park or explore the hiking trails along the river on the north side. Take a peak inside the quaint Durham Art Gallery, just down the street at their impressive exhibitions.

Heading west on Grey Road 4, stop to stretch your legs at Allan Park with a hike, or bring your bicycle and enjoy over 10km of trails at this Saugeen Valley Conservation property.  Continuing on to the Town of Hanover, there are several shops & businesses to browse through and you can't miss MacLean's Ales. This craft brewery is one of the stops on the Saints and Sinners Trail. Visit the tasting room or pick up some unique brews from the retail shop to enjoy later.

You'll arrive in beautiful Neustadt just in time for lunch and Noah's Inn is sure to please.  Enjoy the unique architecture of this historic inn and a great meal.   After lunch, head across the street to Neustadt's Springs Brewery for a tasting, or bring home some award winning brews from their retail store.

Filsinger's Orchard

An organic orchard since 1953, Filsinger's Organic Foods and Orchard is located just south of Ayton.  Stop by their roadside stand to bring home some local apples and other organic goodies.
 

Another stop on the Grey County Waterfall Tour, the Holstein Dam is steeped in history. Enjoy the waterfall and then continue up the road to the Egremont Optimist Park, the mill pond, the hiking trails and the picnic area.  After Holstein, you can enjoy the scenic countryside back to Flesherton, where you started.  Finish your journey at the Bicycle Cafe, with a full-schedule of live music and a delicious menu, this is a great place to wrap up your day.
