During hunting seasons, Grey County Forests (map) are a popular destination for hunters. For your own safety and in respect to others, please remember trails are open to everyone to enjoy and it is important to follow proper trail etiquette. Hunting is not permitted in three of our County Forests; Derby, Farden Lake and St. Vincent Forests. You do not need a permit to hunt in Grey County Forests. Overnight camping and permanent hunting stands are not permitted in any Grey County Forest. Please remember to follow all Ontario Hunting Regulations and Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) requirements, including Sunday gun hunting restrictions. To report illegal hunting activity call the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry at 1-877-847-7667.
