Drive-By Fooding – Great Food to Go!

Published Date:

Are you looking for good food to go but don’t want to visit a fast food chain for the same old drive-through burger or bagel? Check out these fantastic grab-and-go options from local scratch kitchens all across Grey County.

Food Trucks:

  • Grilled in Action – Burgers and fries with a twist. This truck moves around Owen Sound and pops up at special events, check Facebook for locations.
  • Sweet Things Grill Wagon – A farm-to-table food truck serving lamb, rabbit, turkey, eggs and foods from Sweet Things Farm. Enjoy hot breakfasts at farmers’ markets and rib-sticking food at events around the area. Frozen entrees are also available. See Facebook for details.

Prepared meals to go:

  • Peasemarsh Farm, Flesherton – Gourmet take-out meals lovingly prepared in small batches from local and organic ingredients. Plus catering, and lots of take-away items from local farms from fresh bread to salad greens.
  • Ravenna Country Market, Ravenna (grilled ham and cheese pictured below) – The freezers are stocked with delicious frozen entrees made onsite in the café’s open kitchen and the panini grill is always hot. Try the pasta or pie but make sure you take home some butter tarts and fudge, too!
