One of Grey County's most historically significant rivers offers a great paddle from Harrison Park in Owen Sound to the East Boat Launch in the Bay. Also one of the most picturesque rivers with views of marshland, historical homes, the Niagara Escarpment, wildlife and many species of birds. Don't miss the bird sanctuary at Harrison Park and some of downtown Owen Sound's great attractions.
October tends to draw locals out for fall tours and local adventures and this time around, I convinced my mom to hop in and join me for a day in Southgate, the southeast corner of Grey County, where it all begins.

Located in the southwestern corner of Grey County, you’ll find a small trio of towns that offer quaint and unassuming shopping and dining options; Neustadt, Hanover and Durham.
