Courage and marksmanship made Owen Sound native Billy Bishop one of the leading fighter pilots of the First World War. He was officially credited with the destruction of seventy-two enemy aircraft and was awarded several military decorations for his actions. Located in Queen's Park, First Avenue West and Eighth Street, Owen Sound.
