Santa Claus is comin' to town...or at least a town near you in Grey County! The holiday seasons brings us many parades and celebrations for the little ones to visit the man in red, and share their Christmas wish lists.
This property is part of the Massie Ski Hills Area, which is mostly monitored by the Grey Sauble Conservation authority. Permitted uses on this property include horseback riding, cycling, hiking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing (off the ski tracks). Cross country skiing trails intersect the Bruce Trail, and are maintained by the Owen Sound Ski Club. A Ski User Fee pay box is present on site, as well as limited parking available on the road shoulder.

The trail runs through a mix of highland and lowland forest and a couple of mature pine plantations. There is even an old homestead on the trail marked by rusty farm implements poking through the grass.
The Owen Sound Cross Country Skis Club is a small organization with a wilderness type trail 10 minutes southeast of Owen Sound on the Massie road.
This trail is 10 kilometres and is maintained and groomed by the Owen Sound Cross-Country Ski Club, weekly. It is located north of the village of Massie, on Massie Road south of Grey Road 18. It is both hilly and winding.
