The Owen Sound Cross Country Ski Club maintains a 9.6 km groomed trail network on Grey Sauble Conservation property. The trail runs through a mix of highland and lowland forest and a couple of mature pine plantations. Enjoy the solitude and beauty of a back-country ski with the added bonus of track-set grooming for classic cross country skiing (with two sets of tracks in many areas).
You’ll find a mix of trails from easy to intermediate, and while Massie Hills has its share of hills, including some steep sections, there’s nothing too extreme or too long. Snowshoers are also welcome, but asked to keep off the groomed ski trails, and please no dogs.
Donation boxes for day passes are available at either trail entrance, or new this year, payment can be e-transfered to massie.skiclub@gmail.com . Day use fees are $10 per person or $20/family up to 4 persons. Or consider joining as a member – ski all winter and support the maintenance of the trails by our hard-working volunteers.
